Sunday, August 29, 2010 More Kieran
Just a few more teasers about my latest story, Kieran:
- I've been talking a lot about the rougher/gritty nature of this story compared to American Differences, but what do I mean and how does this affect the story? As referenced in a previous post, Kieran isn't as clear-cut as Matt from AD, or Lewis from Neoplasia, there's a lot of conflict going on inside him. This will cause quite a lot of friction in the story, not only for himself but for his dynamic with the other characters too. He's going on a journey, and we're going to be right alongside him through the action.
- A stronger female presence. While there are female cast in all the stories, Kieran takes that to a different level with several girls taking centre stage as part of the main cast. As with the guys, there will be some you love, some you hate, and some you adore.
- I mentioned a while back that there was a closeted gay character in the story, a fact that still remains, so be sure to keep an eye out in case they make an appearance early on. I'll be placing hints throughout the story, but also throwing some curveballs too. ;-)
- This story will also expand on the already large list of ethnicities portrayed through my stories. Two characters featuring in Chapter One will add another two countries on that list. (As part of my plan to cover as many countries as possible!) Moreover, one of those characters will make the occasional use of a second language, so look for the odd sentence in a foreign tongue. (If your first language is English!)
- And finally, one big reveal will be made tomorrow in the first chapter. It's a small detail but it has big consequences for the story as a whole. I'll be interested to see if anyone notices it. :-P
So there's a few little snippets about Kieran, I hope that intrigues you further about this story and you'll check it out tomorrow when it goes live. I've spent a long time thinking out, planning, and writing this story so I hope you'll enjoy it.

I just read the first chapter of Kieran and I really liked it. The fact that Kieran has a girlfriend yet seems to like Jordan a lot might create some drama. Lol The characters who stand out so far, to me, are Jordan's bestfriend and the guy from Kenya. Anyway, I can't wait to read more.
